We just had a filly, blue eyes, white mane and white tail, they are telling me she is Cremello, is this right?

People are telling me that blue eyed horses can go blind if left in the sun, is there any reasoning to this? I have never had a blue eyed Quarter Horse prior to this. I have read different articles, and none state any of this. Sire was a palomino and dam was a dark buckskin.
