Can I get my American Pitbull Terrier registered with the AKC?

He is registered with the UKC. His pedigree consists of over 300 dogs dating back to the 1800s. His ancestors include a large amount of AKC champions and number of "famous" dogs from the Ruffian, Colby, Gaff, and Razor's Edge bloodlines. ( Razor's Edge Sir Crush ALot, Razor's Edge Throwing Knuckles, The Ruffian, Tudor's King, Colby's Pincher just to name a few. And that's just on his sire's pedigree.) Is there even a possibility that my pup can be dual registered? I've heard of it being done in the past. Please help!
